As new golf
developments go these days most will have a residential component in place in
the overall master plan. Even though we currently are having a tough go in the
real estate markets, its all just a cycle right? Well, never mind all of the
economy mumbo jumbo, and just having a residential component is nothing compared
to the master plans at Coyote Springs, how about a new city as a master plan,
and the new western hub of the PGA of America headquarters, just for
starters!.....now, keep in mind "master plan".
That's right! A
whole new city, in the middle of the desert some 60 miles north of Vegas, and 50
Miles south of Mesquite, Nevada. Driving up from Las Vegas, I honestly thought I
was lost on my first trip to Coyote Springs, its literally in the middle of
nowhere-ville. There is nothing, not a darn thing for 40 miles along a lonely
stretch of desert highway, then boom! Holy cow, a stunning, jaw-dropping new
Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course that rivals any of the current top dawgs in
Vegas.
The
first golf course in a planned series of Jack Nicklaus-designed courses that
will flow throughout the Coyote Springs community is named The Chase, and plays to a par 72
and ranges from 5,349 yards from the forward tees to 7,471 yards from the
championship tees. The course features professional caddies on all tee times
before 11am, and is a excellent experience with a seasoned caddie helping
ensure you have a great time at Coyote Springs.
The golf course
is truly a work of art, and a downright fantasy round golf that you
can physically play. From top to bottom the routing of the holes flows
beautifully with no hole feeling forced or contrived in any way. I will not talk
about any specific holes for this review, because I was enthralled with every
single one of them!
In a nutshell, Coyote Springs is a
"Must Play" on your next golf trip to Mesquite, Las Vegas, or St. George, book
