The CasaBlanca Golf Club was originally built by Merv Griffin in the early 90’s, as an amenity to Players Island Casino, which is now the CasaBlanca Hotel Casino. Griffin hired respected golf architect Cal Olsen to create a gambler loving, fun, enjoyable golf course among the lowlands shores of the Virgin River for his casino guests.
The layout is mostly flat, with excitement building around hole #7 which starts a stretch of beautiful, yet demanding water holes skirting two large sparkling lakes. These 4 holes will test your skill, and can wreak havoc if there is a breeze.
“CasaBlanca is a fun, relaxed track and is an excellent opener to any visit to Mesquite!”
CasaBlanca may be the only course in Mesquite which lends well to walking – unless you are a mountain goat – and is one of the more playable courses in town. While there are some forced carries, CasaBlanca is generally pretty wide open, a scorable design, and is a good opener to any golf trip to Mesquite.
Although the golf course is very wide, and quite forgiving, the routing features a few holes around two lakes which demand well-struck shots to avoid the water.
