In 2005 Phoenix based golf course architect David Druzisky was commissioned to create an additional 9 holes for the original Arnold Palmer designed 9 hole Vista’s course crafted in 1994 along with the Palmer Course, but was all but forgotten about. The existing Vista’s 9 was routed on similar land as the Palmer course, so it was pretty good, but it was so heavily disconnected from the clubhouse and the main facilities by about a quarter of a mile it was a more of an oddity than a popular golf course.

Recently, the nines have been flipped to create a much better flow to the course, and allows golfers to be back near the clubhouse for refreshments after the ninth green. The change has been well received, and was a good move for the flow of the course.
