Gregory’s Mesquite Grill — The Best Dinner in Mesquite, Nevada
Where to eat after a round at Wolf Creek? The answer is Gregory’s.
After a day on the courses — tired legs, a sunburned neck, and a group full of opinions about who owes who a Nassau — the last thing you want is to gamble on dinner. Gregory’s Mesquite Grill inside the Eureka Casino Resort is the safe bet. And in a town where casino dining can be hit or miss, that matters.
Gregory’s has been the go-to post-round dinner spot in Mesquite for years, and a recent major renovation has only raised the bar. The Eureka pumped serious investment into expanding the space, and the reimagined restaurant now has a proper Parlour Bar, a Club Room with a relaxed but upscale feel, and four private dining rooms that can handle a large golf group without the noise spillover you’d get in a typical casino steakhouse. The expanded room is 7,000 square feet of space that somehow still feels intimate when it needs to.
The Food
<!– IMAGE 2 –> <!– Suggested: A plated steak or signature dish — the New York strip, smoked meatballs, or sea bass –> <!– Caption: The menu is anchored by steaks cooked over real mesquite wood — you can taste the difference –>
The menu leans into the name in the best possible way. The steaks are cooked over a mesquite wood grill — actual mesquite wood, not a gas burner with a smoke button — and you can taste the difference. The char is clean and the smoke is subtle, not overpowering. A properly done New York strip here is as good as anything you’ll find within two hours in any direction.
Beyond the steakhouse classics, Gregory’s has expanded into Italian specialties and a few genuinely creative additions: mesquite-smoked homemade meatballs, Mediterranean sea bass, and a honey lavender chicken that sounds fussier than it eats. The wine list is worth attention — owner Gregory Lee hand-selected a private list (ask the server for “Greg’s List”) that doesn’t appear on the standard menu and pairs beautifully with the heavier plates.
The Early Bird special — available Wednesday through Sunday from 4 to 5 PM — is one of the best-value dinners in the region. Appetizer, entrée, dessert, and a glass of house wine for $25. For a golf group that’s already spent on green fees, this is a legitimately great meal at a price that doesn’t sting.
The Atmosphere
<!– IMAGE 3 –> <!– Suggested: The Parlour Bar or Club Room — showing the renovated interior, bar, or booth seating –> <!– Caption: The newly expanded Parlour Bar and Club Room give Gregory’s a classic steakhouse feel without the stuffiness –>
The recent renovation gave the space a polished, classic steakhouse feel — the kind of place that can handle both a quiet anniversary dinner and a 12-man golf group debating who made the best par on hole 12 at Wolf Creek. The Parlour Bar area trends livelier; the back dining rooms and Club Room are quieter. If you have a bigger group or want a calmer atmosphere, request the Club Room when you make your reservation.
Dress code is smart casual — no hats, tank tops, flip flops, or team apparel. Coming straight from the course in golf shorts might push the line, so plan to change before dinner. It’s worth it. The setting earns a little effort.
Gregory’s is currently rated 4.5 out of 5 on Tripadvisor and ranked the number one restaurant in Mesquite out of 53 options — which tells you everything you need to know about how it stacks up against the competition in town.
